Here is my 3 inch MAF install.
I have a heat sheild made up. It however was for the 2.5 inch MAF.
So some tweaks will have to be made to get it to work with this MAF

Next Ill have to get some pics up of the suspension.

As promised this is the MAF with the home made heat sheild. I rufsed to pay for one of ebay. Made this with $20 and home depot. Its the tin they use for ducting in houses along with the foam tape with foil outside. (you can see it peeling off LOL) You may laugh or think it looks ghetto but it works. Checking with a pyrometer engine bay temps can be 200 degreess and the little space the fliter sitts in will only be 150 or so. Also yes its a far cry from the Miller induction kit but Ill be getting that later.

The fact that it works is all that matters! Glad you are having fun with your car.

With the car all put togther all I can say is WOW! The car is so much more responsive. One of my competiors drives a Mazda 626 and or cars are were very close in accleration.
After the tune and MAF swap the car now pulls away from the mazda.
Not to mention that the mid range power and throttle response is stellar.
As a perk the car gets great millage at cruise on the interstate. Un confirmed 30mpg figured via the MPG gauge.
Now mind you the car only weighs 2600lbs race weight.
I wish I had some before and after dyno results to post.
I guess the butt dyno will have to do.
