The E28 is an aquired taste for sure, but many regard the looks to be one of the best BMW designs ever. With the near bullet proof M30 engine under the hood, the e28 535 can be a blast to drive. It picks up the pace even more with a few simple modifications. Tod of Massachusetts recently installed the Miller W.A.R. Chip and the Miller MAF conversion on his nicely built e28. The car's specs as provided by the customer are as follows:

1985 535i, with 213K miles making 214 rwhp & 248 rwtq!!!

  • M30B34 stroker motor w/~10:1 compression; B35 pistons, 3.7L displacement
  • Rebuilt head w/double springs, 2 mm larger intake valves, new valvetrain, custom billet camshaft
  • B35 intake manifold
  • Bosch Design III 19 Lb injectors, adjustable FPR set @ 50 PSI
  • Miller MAF Conversion
  • W.A.R. chip & custom tune
  • 533i flywheel, 5 spd, 3.64 LS
  • Headers w/cat delete into OEM cat back exhaust
  • Dinan Springs
  • Bilstein sport shocks valved to match
  • Larger 25/19 Sway bars with reinforced mounts front and back
  • M5 front sway bar brackets and bushings
  • Offset front strut mounts
  • Front strut bar
  • Adjustable rear subframe
  • M5 Differential mount
  • E32 front brakes
  • E34 rear brakes
  • E32 master cylinder
  • Braided brake lines
  • Porterfield R4-S pads
  • DOT4 fluid
