ECU Software REQUIRED AND INCLUDED:

Whenever you change the air metering device on your engine, you MUST recalibrate the tune. Because each model of sensor has its own unique air flow curve, the ECU needs to be reprogrammed to use and understand the signal properly. Our MAF software is unrivaled. Not only does our software take care of the intricate details associated with recalibrating the code for a new sensor type, we also optimize all other parameters to yield the best performance. M3

The M3 MAF is a nice upgrade for your peppy 4 cylinder. It offers a PEAK gain of 16 true HP at the wheels and a PEAK gain of 12 ft lbs at the wheels! Even more exciting is the large torque gain under the peak number, an impressive 17 ft lbs at 3400 RPM! Dyno sheets posted below.

 

M3 4" Intake Elbow (OPTIONAL):

 

If your are increasing the diameter of your air metering device, why not increase the entire intake track? For the M3, the GEN III/M MAF kit can come with an optional 4” intake elbow. This increases the entire intake track to 4” opposed to the factory 3” tube allowing you to move more volume of air for additional top end power. Another benefit is less turbulence; the 4” silicone elbow is smooth compared to the factory 3” corrugated elbow.
 

M5 & M6

The M5 and M6 MAF’s had a few bugs during the Gen II life span. While most people didn't have any issues, there were a select few that had drivability problems. We are always learning and Miller Performance and striving to better our products and service. With GEN III we have taken our knowledge and improved the drivability of our MAF conversions for all cars. The Gen III/M MAF is by far the best conversion out there for your M5 or M6. With our improved design, the GEN III/M offers unprecedented drivability as well as better performance than any of our previous MAF conversions.

 

M5 & M6 Intake Boot (OPTIONAL):

The stock intake plenum has a smaller diameter entry than the MAF. Standard silicone reducers are to short to replace the stock boot causing headaches and ugly messes of hose clamps. Instead of trying to mate two hoses together, we have custom length reducers made that will replace your stock intake boot entirely. These boots not only offer the right length, but are much smoother and offer improved airflow compared to the accordion style factory boot. Remember, this isn't necessary, but it will make your install much cleaner looking and easier to finish.
