It is with great pleasure that the time has come to feature this pristine e28 M5. Gary, in Georgia has been a long time customer of Miller Performance. Helping orchestrate one of our first group buys for our GEN II MAF way back in the day, Gary has been a great contributor to the BMW enthusiast community. His passion for his BMW is made evident by this beautiful, black ///M monster. 1 of 30 black on black US Spec M5's this e28 M5 is subtle even to the trained eye. Gary has done some tinkering to say the least. This engine has aftermarket CP pistons and rings that equate to an approximate 11:1 compression ratio. The exhaust side of the cylinder head was cleaned up with some mild port work and the cams are from an e34 M5 - the S38B36 to be precise. They cams are also timed to factory specs for those of you who understand a thing or two about cam timing. The Valves were left stock as well as the rods and the crank. As far as "bolt-ons" go, Gary has fitted the Euro headers as well as a UUC exhaust and VSR1 Cats. Our GENII MAF conversion (discontinued and since replaced by GEN III/M) as well was used and Gary used our W.A.R. Chip to extract all the ponies he could from his toy. And all those ponies add up to quite a nice number! Gary was aiming for 300 horse power at the wheels and is happy with the outcome, 294 HP and 258 Ft.Lbs.
Thanks Gary for submitting a beautiful car and to finish it off, a video that is music to my ears!
