This Mass Air Flow Conversion gives the user the ability to simply bolt this System on to their car quickly and easily, gaining more horse power and fuel efficiency than any other MAF Conversion or  performance chip on the market. The reason this system is better than others like it, is because of our 'factory-like' approach to design, fitment, quality and also our proprietary tuning system. No other System on the market has a MAF sensor that is electronically and mechanically designed from the start for this application only. Since this system has no external controller, (i.e. Piggyback) the only way to make the system work is to carefully remap the ECU Map Tables in order to calibrate the stock ECU to our new MAF sensor. Our MAF sensor replaces the extremely restrictive Air Flow Meter (AFM). Because the AFM is so restrictive, you are robbing your engine of many benefits. Increased airflow means more power, fuel efficiency and a faster response. This System comes with our MAF sensor as well as our MAF Conversion Stage1 software (to be installed in place of stock ECU chip). Also included is a small adapter harness that allows you to plug in your new MAF sensor. This small adapter harness requires that you splice 5 wires in place of the original AFM connector plug.  So if you have a bad AFM or just want more power, please give our product a try, we know you will be happy.

What are the gains I can expect from the MAF System?

The MAF System replaces the stock AFM. The main differences you will see with the MAF installed is a better mid range. Unlike the AFM, there is no "door" restricting flow. Due to no obstructions during part throttle you are able to flow more air into your engine. The chip provided with the System allows for your ECU to run the car as if the MAF sensor was an original BMW component. As far as power gains go, you can expect 19 HP and 25 lb/ft at the wheels!

What are some good performance chips? How does a MAF compare?

There are plenty of chip makers out there. The prices reflect the knowledge that goes into tuning those chips. If you look at our MAF Systems however, you will see it is more than just a performance chip. Not only are you getting a well developed performance chip, you are also getting an updated Air flow sensor that will allow for better results from JUST a chip. Most Chip companies say your car will gain 20 - 25 hp from their chip, but what they aren't telling you is that those numbers are based on use with different Cams, exhaust etc. etc. How can just a little piece of software really make a 20 HP difference without engine modifacations. Will the MAF work with future plans I have with my car?

Of course the MAF will work with you no matter what your plans for your car are. Your engine has to know how much air you are flowing and thus the need for an air sensor is always there. One way to measure airflow is with a MAF. When you decide to upgrade different components of your car, there is always a need to retune your car to its "new" full potential. As our MAF System runs off the ECU, it is easy adjust the software as needed.
